Kiro’s journey started in 2023 at a hackathon at London Business School. Founder Alisha Chowdhury, alongside her classmates, won first place with the idea of Kiro—a vision to make financial education engaging and accessible for young adults.

Kiro Money took shape in London at a Hackathon where Alisha and her team wanted to tackle a pain point they all felt - why does it feel almost impossible to manage our finances as students?
APRIL 2024:
Built Kiro version 1.0, a personalized financial and career coach chatbot, and went live with students in London and Philadelphia.
JULY 2024:
Secured funding from Founders Factory and Aviva Group, giving us the firepower to grow and scale our money coach.

Featured in Forbes and Poest&Quants as a Fintech to watch started by a female founder.
JAN 2025:
Piloted Kiro Money 2.0 with our first customers, bringing our AI money coach for Gen Z to life and helping our first users get financial clarity.
SUMMER 2025:
Built a community of over 2,000 members who have invested or saved over $250,000 with Kiro Money's support.
FALL 2025
Recevied backing from the U.S. National Science Foundation. Hosted over 100 workshops across various communities, including college campuses and non profits.
